Ross Millar

Trainer

Hi, my name is Ross and I’m delighted to be one of the personal trainers here at DR Inclusive Fitness & Wellbeing.

I’ve had a passion for coaching since I was young and from the age of 18, I’ve been teaching golf to a wide variety of players – even some of the staff at the gym! With the skills I’ve learned from my career, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed applying these to my role with DR Inclusive Fitness and Wellbeing as a PT. Having fun and getting to know my clients is a massive part of my sessions and encompasses what DR Inclusive Fitness and Wellbeing is all about!

The reason I chose to work with DR Inclusive Fitness and Wellbeing is pretty simple. Growing up with my brother Cameron who is autistic (impressions are his thing – they are amazing!) I began to understand how difficult and inaccessible some environments and activities can be for people. At DR Inclusive Fitness and Wellbeing we can control our environment to make sure fitness can be accessible to everyone. Even for some who can’t reach the gym, we can reach out to them at home.

I also love the camaraderie in the gym between staff and the clients, we are a real family!

In my spare time, I thoroughly enjoy spending time with my wife Linsey who is a teacher and going for walks with our young cockapoo dog Saorsa. For the record, I suppose I better disclose that I’m a SFA referee as well!

My Favourite work out song:
Wish you were mine – Philip George

My Favourite movie:
Anchorman

My Favourite snack:
Tunnocks Dark Chocolate Teacake

Interesting fact about me:
As everyone keeps reminding me, it’s only fair anyone reading this gets to know as well – I used to play the trombone.
